Important Mini People is a day-care nursery based in Carrickfergus. We are open 7:15am to 6:15pm, Monday to Friday. Shifts are varied to cover these hours. We currently have a vacancy for a full-time nursery assistant.

**Roles and responsibilities**:

- To ensure a high level of physical, emotional, social, and intellectual care and development for the children placed in the nursery.
- To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the manager and to give support to other personnel within the nursery.
- To adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures within the nursery.
- To plan daily routines for the children.
- To risk-assess all aspects of the daily routine to ensure a safe environment for staff, students, and children.

**Essential criteria**:

- Age 18 and over.
- Have a flexible attitude to work.
- Be a team player.
- Be motivated.

**Desirable criteria**:

- A minimum qualification of NVQ Level 2 in Childcare and Education, or equivalent qualification in childcare.
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience in childcare.
- Paediatric first-aid training.
- Safeguarding training.

**Salary**: £9.90-£11.00 per hour
