Quality Inspector
Role:
The purpose of the role is to ensure that received and manufactured parts, assemblies and products are made to high-quality standards and ensure compliance with product specifications during final testing and inspection.
Duties Include:

- Inspection and testing of final products. Meticulous inspection of documentation and records, as well as the internal build quality (wiring/crimping) followed by testing and visual inspection.
- Feedback and documentation of inspection issues to relevant staff.
- To support the resolution of any Quality Issues relating to non-conformances and continuous improvement activities aligned with the overall quality and business strategy
- Investigating quality problems with components in cooperation with Quality Engineer and Production.
- Ensuring all inspection tasks are carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supporting Head of QA in the in-house and external calibration of measuring equipment.
- Functional and visual inspection of final products made in-house
- Inspection documents used include the use of inspection instructions drawings and ASTM/IP Methods.

Experience required:

- Working in quality orientated production/engineering environment.
- Experience inspecting electrical and mechanical products with the ability to understand technical drawings and follow written instructions.
- Good written skills, with the ability to create documentation.
- Manual handling of inspected instruments required.
- Capable of working independently and as a part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Organised and able to prioritise.
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with calibration of measuring tools and equipment will be advantageous.
- Health and Safety
- Ensure a high standard of 5S and housekeeping in the inwards inspection area.
- Ensure that all H&SE policies and the company ISO guidelines are adhered to during the service, manufacture and assembly of instruments.
