Sandwich Maker

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sandwich Maker to join our team at a fast-paced restaurant in Barnsley city centre. As a Sandwich Maker, you will play a crucial role in preparing delicious sandwiches and ensuring customer satisfaction. This is a great opportunity for individuals with a passion for food preparation and a desire to work in a dynamic kitchen environment.

**Duties**:

- Prepare sandwiches according to customer orders, following established recipes and portion sizes
- Slice, chop, and assemble ingredients such as meats, cheeses, vegetables, and condiments
- Operate kitchen equipment including slicers, grills, ovens, and toasters
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sandwich station and kitchen area
- Monitor inventory levels of sandwich ingredients and notify management when supplies need to be replenished
- Assist with general food preparation tasks as needed

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in food preparation or working in a restaurant kitchen is preferred
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating portion sizes
- Strong time management skills to ensure orders are prepared efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper handling of ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £6.40-£11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 35 per week

**Experience**:

- Food preparation: 1 year (preferred)
- customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
