My high-profile banking client are recruiting for a KDB Developer to work in the Dublin based offices on an initial 6- 12-month contract with the possibility to extend the contract and eventually becoming permanent. This is great opportunity.
The Central Risk Book (CRB) technology team support the CRB business in the Global Markets and Investment Banking Group. The team provides innovative solutions for low touch facilitation of client flow, hedging and smart position management.
The CRB technology team is a global team with a strong presence in AMRS, EMEA and APAC. We aim to maintain a global perspective while recognising and responding to specific regional requirements that make each market unique.
The EMEA Central Risk Book (CRB) technology team is a vibrant team of experienced developers, business analysts and QA experts working closely with the business and quants. The team supports an existing product set and due to a focus on this business area withinthe bank, is also building the next generation platform.
It would be nice for Person to have exposure to Python/C++ technology.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING? (Responsibilities)
Developer responsible for building and maintaining a data plant for the Central Risk initiative. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- KDB development with good design and architecture principles to build the strategic data platform and new functionality for trading analytic and research
- Development of tooling to handle large real-time and historical data sets for analytic purpose
- Development of processes to support the generation of static product information
- Collaborating with internal teams and vendors to integrate new source data feeds
- Bring the existing platform to the EMEA region
- Build out process and tools to continuous fine tuning the platform stability and performance
- Second level support of global CRB reference data system

SKILLS WE LOOK FOR
Essential Skills
- Strong experience in designing and developing in enterprise level KDB/Q platforms (data capture, storage, API build out, user entitlement and permission).
- Experience of SDLC for data platform development (Agile, Kanban, Testing and Change Management)
- Knowledge of Git, Jira, Jenkins
- Linux scripting
- Familiar with broad global classes of equity derivative securities

- Experience in Python
- Experience with Autosys
- Exposure to React JS
- Exposure to C++, Java experience and data visualisation tools would be a plus
- Business knowledge in Equities and Electronic Trading is preferred
