Are you an experienced Software/Application Development Manager ?

Do you have a strong technical background but are now more about leading ?

Would you like to work for a leading Fintech business in the Investment management industry.

You will be based from their office in the city centre of Edinburgh however they offer very flexible hybrid working.

Responsibilities include:

- Leading the Development team.
- Keep a strong awareness of emerging technologies.
- Ensure adherence to standards through training and education.
- Participate in project work as required, delivering tasks to agreed deadlines.
- Identify and deliver operational enhancements as required.
- Documents all work in accordance with the agreed standards, methodologies & procedures.
- Works with the Head of IT to plan / schedule work, regularly reporting progress and issues.
- Ensure effective communications outside of the IT Development team.

Skills should include:

- Strong leadership / mentoring skills.
- Experience of resource planning and time management
- Strong experience of delivering to tight deadlines in a Client Service and Operational environment
- Strong experience in collaborating with other teams, particularly providing input and feedback on requirements and design
- Experience of Microsoft development technologies is advantageous

Desirable skills:

- Financial services sector experience
- Cloud computing, data warehousing, Agile development
