**About Cottage Farms**

Cottage Farms operates a production facility situated in the Horsmonden,Kent. We pack apples / pears for one of the country’s major retailers

We have 5 fully automated and 3 semi-automated production lines with state of the art end line case /pallet packing equipment.

**About the Role**

Due to volume growth we have an exciting opportunity for a Line Leader to join our team at Cottage Farms, Horsmanden, Kent. Working as part of the production team reporting into the production supervisor your role is to ensure that our customer receive the highest quality products in the most cost efficient way to set KPI’s.

We are currently offering two rates of pay which are based on entry level Line leader ROP and upon completion of training and achieving production targets the ROP increases.

You will be responsible for managing a team of key workers to deliver to set line targets whilst ensuring safety and quality are adhered to.

We operate a 4 on 2 off Day shift pattern, Included in this is the opportunity to work additional days where business requirements / orders dictate

At certain times the shift working time will extend from 10 hrs - 12hrs, this is communicated in advance.

**Key Responsibilities of the Role**
- Lead, organise production lines to ensure daily production performance targets ( Quality /efficiency & yield) are achieved and customer orders are fully delivered to the highest quality standards
- To ensure that all finished product meets customer specifications, positive release product as required.
- Promote and lead Health & Safety, quality focused team ensuring your work area is safe / compliant and ‘clean as you go’ policy is adhered to at all times.
- Accurate Management of stock across your line ensuring accurate recordings and data onto job sheets
- Monitor and record the weights (finished product, class 3 & waste) where required, ensuring conformity to the required company procedures.
- Ensure that all labels and packaging are correct on the line and ready to use ‘on time’ before job is ready, avoiding downtime and loss in productivity due to incorrect labels or packaging issues.
- Ensure that any product produced is verified against the quality assessment ensuring packaging, label, product information is accurate.

**Salary**: £10.70-£11.50 per hour
