As part of this transformation, Stoke are looking to identify **7 Accountants** across a range of key areas including Capital Projects, Housing Revenue Accounts, Commercial, Tax, Assets, and Service Finance. The** Accountant **posts will work as part of a developing commercially focussed team to provide financial and commercial advice to a range of services and transformational projects across the Council. Responsibilities include;
- Taking a proactive approach in managing and delivering robust accounting services
- Supporting the delivery of an integrated financial planning process by the provision of high quality, accurate, timely and relevant information
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that robust financial controls are in operation and that financial risk is understood
- Building strong relationships with key stakeholders to identify opportunities for business improvements and efficiencies
- Ensuring a culture of continuous improvement, looking to add value within a first-class business partnering service
- Proven track record in developing influential working relationships at a range of levels
