Role Overview
As our Policy and Stakeholder Advisor, you’ll sit at the heart of Nest, helping consider some of the biggest issues facing the pensions industry.
You will also be responsible for maintaining the strong relationships we have with stakeholders in Government, policy and industry communities, including through helping to devise and manage our CEO and Chair’s stakeholder engagement programme.
This is a high-profile role offering great opportunities for career development in a supportive environment. You will sit at the heart of the organisation and build relationships with colleagues at all levels, including close working relationships with theCEO and Chair.

With a policy background, you will have an excellent ability to developed evidenced conclusions from both quantitative and qualitative information. Experience of working in pensions, financial services, Government or parliament would be advantageous but isnot a requirement. However, it is essential that you have a genuine passion for Nest’s purpose and the role you will play in delivering it.
You will be comfortable working in a relatively fast-paced environment and be able to balance a number of deadlines whilst delivering high quality work.

Directorate/Department Overview

The Strategy and Corporate Affairs Directorate sits at the heart of the organisation.
It has the following functions:

- To define and oversee Nest’s overarching strategy including our corporate purpose and business priorities, and our medium-term strategic goals
- To help Nest engage with the outside world, our key partners in government, consumer groups and the pensions industry in the UK and abroad.
- To help us understand and manage the risks and opportunities stemming from policy change.
- To consider how we should evolve in the long term, and lead on communicating and negotiating our future with the Government and the broader policy community.
We are a small team of 5, headed up by Director of Strategy & Corporate Affairs. The team works with directorates across Nest to fulfil the functions above. The Policy and Stakeholder Advisor role will report into Head of Strategy.
