Qualified Butcher

Establish Butcher business based in Bellshill and Motherwell providing produce for retail and wholesale. Business has good experience of developing staff. Business has an opportunity for a qualified butcher to add to their experienced and long serving team. Looking to take on someone who will fit in with the team, work, learn well and remain with the business over the long term.
Hours of work; 5 days. Day and however will depend on location and will be fully discussed at interview.

**Key duties and responsibilities of the role**:
Making sausages and pies
Organising orders for customers.
Maintenance and cleaning of shop front and back
Counter service
Working in preparation area alongside experienced butchers to prepare meats
Driving van for deliveries as required.

**Essential Criteria**:
Good standards of personal hygiene, smart appearance

Able to work ‘on feet’ all day and to do some heavy lifting

Able to work safely with sharp knives

Keen to work with meat, food and raw products (not put off by blood)

Good customer skills

Keen to learn

Reliable with good time keeping and attendance

Committed to developing as a butcher

Good team working skills

Previous relevant experience desirable but not essential

Business would also consider any applicants who may have had previous experience in a related role and now wish to train to be a qualified butcher.

**Salary**: £0.10-£0.11 per year
