Melbreck Technical are working with a leading a leading designer and manufacturer of specialist equipment and machinery based in Milton Keynes.
They pride themselves on their innovative history stemming from the 80’s and have created a culture based on understanding, co-operation, partnership and diversity.
As they continue to invest in new products, they have identified a need to strengthen their quality team and as such are looking to hire a Quality Manager to join the business ASAP.
**Quality Manager - Role overview**:
To provide organisational leadership and management to the Quality Assurance Team, as well as taking control of the lean and continuous improvement strategies within the business.
Provide support to suppliers in their manufacturing process, with the help of the Supply Chain Team to ensure the quality of received goods is of the highest standard possible, without adding unnecessary lead times.
**Quality Manager - Role Responsibilities**:
Manage and coach the Quality Team
Implement effective and efficient ways of organising resources
Implement the use of structured and proven problem solving techniques throughout the business
Fully support the integration of New Products through the deployment of APQP
Help the business to develop strategic relationships with its suppliers
Assist key suppliers in the implementation of both problem solving techniques and continuous improvement
Carry out and manage detailed investigations in to major non conformances
Development of new and maintenance of current quality management systems.
**Quality Manager - Job Holder Requirements**:
Time served and demonstrable experience as a Quality Manager within a multi-disciplined engineering environment
A Degree in an Engineering discipline or relevant qualification to level 5 or above.
Proven leadership experience
Proven knowledge of DFMEA and PFMEA
Experience of Six Sigma
Understanding of MRP and ERP systems
**Quality Manager - Hours and Benefits**:
Working hours for the role are 08:00 - 16:30, Monday - Friday
25 days holiday, plus bank holidays
