**Job title**:Senior HSE Advisor
**Salary**:DOE (£40,000 - £50,000)
**Location**:Cookstown, Northern Ireland
**Job Overview**: We are seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to join our client's team. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will support various business functions on assigned HSE tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Collaboration with operational management is vital for the successful implementation of HSE initiatives.
**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:
- Ensure compliance with local HSE legislation and company policies.
- Conduct HSE performance reporting and environmental monitoring.
- Lead HSE Steering meetings and Safety Committees.
- Assist in Claims management processes.
- Review HSE Risk Assessments, Policies, and Procedures regularly.
- Provide support on HSE and continuous improvement projects.
- Conduct Accident/Incident investigations and support other enquiries.
- Work with regulatory and insurance agencies.
- Identify HSE training requirements and deliver training as needed.
- Collaborate with site teams to complete HSE improvement plans.
- Ensure safety of contractors and visitors.
- Support HSE budget and resolve related queries.
- Coordinate with leadership teams and provide consultation.
- Coach and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Analyze site HSE trends and lead policy development.
- Develop strategies for sustained HSE performance.
- Support employee involvement in HSE initiatives.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or equivalent.
- Knowledge of current HSE legislation.
- Experience in a similar role within a related industry.
**Desirable but not essential**:
- Experience in manufacturing.
- NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate.
- NEBOSH Environment Certificate or similar.
- NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Well-being at work.
- Train the Trainer Certificate.
- Knowledge of PPC Regulations, UK Packaging regulations.
- Experience with management systems; OHSAS 18001/ISO45001, ISO50001, ISO14001, ISO9001.
- Coaching and mentoring experience.
- Membership of IOSH.
