**Job Title: Head of IT**
**Location: Birkenhead, Wirral**
**Salary: £70,000 to £75,000**

This well-established and thriving distributor to the retail sector is on a journey of significant growth and expansion with a diversifying of their routes to market and entrance into the B2C sector.
Heavily e-commerce led, they need a hands-on Head of IT with experience in ERP implementations as well as e-commerce probably hailing from the retail or distribution sector.
One of the main attractions of this role is the opportunity, as you will be the most senior person in IT for the company with a pathway, following expansion to become IT Director.
The company has maintained a real family feel and they want to continue in this vein and engender collaboration and a non-political structure and ethos.
Team and developing strong internal relationships are key and are encouraged with company trips to the races, sports days, and family barbecues.
**What will you be doing?**
This role is absolutely key to their continued expansion and will include the replacement of their current Navision-based ERP system with MS Dynamics Business Central.
Other areas are the automation of the distribution centre with a WMS and the launch of a new B2C E-commerce platform.
You will manage a small team of two people that is likely to expand over time so as you can imagine there will hands-on elements to the role especially in and around infrastructure.
**What are we looking for?**
We are looking for a hands-on Head of IT with a solid understanding of core IT operations, infrastructure, and ERP.
We would expect you to have come from a background in retail, wholesale, or distribution with a knowledge of E-commerce.
