Domestic Assistant

**About the Role**

Haslewood Avenue is a care home for adults with learning disabilities ages between 34-90 currently but we accept residents from 18 years old. We are a small home of just 8 beds with a communal kitchen, bathrooms, an activities room and offices. The role is **5 days a week for 20 hours from Monday to Friday** and the hours are flexible and can we accommodated between 10am until 6pm but a fixed pattern would need to be agreed. The earliest start time that would be agreed is 9am.

Duties include:

- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness in a busy kitchen
- Ensuring communal areas are clean and welcoming
- Maintaining high level of infection control and prevention.
- Occasional Laundry duties may be involved.
- Ensuring Bedrooms, offices and sleep in rooms and communal stair cases are maintained.

Mandatory training will be offered that all new employees to the association must attend.

**About You**

We are looking for a passionate person with a 'can-do' attitude. Some previous experience of domestic cleaning would be beneficial. Some knowledge around the work carried out within care and supported housing would be useful.
