Headway Essex provides cognitive rehabilitation activities within our day service for Adults with acquired brain injury, to enable them to achieve their goals through a variety of educational, self-development and social rehabilitation group activities.

We are looking for an experienced support worker to provide maternity cover within our day service team:
**You will be expected to**:

- Plan and run meaningful group activities.
- Key-work individuals; identifying support plans, setting goals and carrying out reviews.
- Liaise with other professionals, agencies and organisations.
- Assist clients with personal care requirements.
- Oversee the administration of medication.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate computerised records.

**You will have**:

- An NVQ Level 2 in health and social care, or equivalent or a relevant degree e.g. psychology and be educated to GCSE grade 4 or above English and Maths or equivalent
- Previous experience of working in a health or social care setting
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent IT Skills
- Excellent organisation skills
- An understanding of brain injury is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.

Note: This position is offered full time Monday to Friday or part-time Tuesday to Friday, hours 8:30- 4:30, due to the nature of the service the working day's are not negotiable. Please be aware salary is calculated pro-rata of the full time rate.
