**Location**: Piperdam Leisure Resort, Dundee

**Hours**: 16 hours per week; immediate start available

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

**What you’ll be doing**

Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be the go-to person at the poolside and gym. You will look after everyone’s safety, keep the whole area clean and hygienic and make sure that we’re meeting our legal requirements. As a leisure assistant you will be responsible for the daily operational duties and performance of the gym and pool related activities.

You will be incredibly friendly, answering guests’ questions and making sure that everyone is having a great time..

One more thing holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on weekends and bank holidays too.

**Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need.**

There’s lots of training on offer but you will need:

- Previous experience and a passion for working in a gym or pool
- Gym related qualification to a level 2 or higher
- Fantastic interpersonal skills - you’ll need to be assertive as well as friendly.
- To be naturally vigilant and helpful - guests come first, so you need to be alert to their needs as well as their safety.

It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too (but we won’t hold it against you if you don’t).
- A valid NPNQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
- Exercise to music Experience
- Les Mills qualification
- Pool plant operators certificate
- ASA/STA level 1/2 swimming qualification
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Experience in the hospitality sector
