**How you'll make a difference**:

You will lead and provide strategic direction and business support to a newly designed Property Support team, which enables the Property Team to decide on delivery priorities and maximise its efficiency within the functions of the Data Team, Property Management System, Post Room, Finance and Procurement and Climate Programme Management.

Reviewing processes and procedures, you will continuously seek to maximise returns on projects to improve efficiencies and focus on developing a more commercial and collaborative approach. You will drive innovative delivery models to programmes and schemes, reviewing how the division works internally across the council and also works externally with stakeholders.

**What will you be doing**
- You will be working at a strategic level alongside other department senior managers to ensure the Property Team is driving efficiencies and value for money. You will ensure that there are excellent financial planning and robust data management systems in place, for the successful progression and implementation of key projects and initiatives.
- In the role you will lead and manage the property business support function team, making sure processes are in place and there is an effective co-ordination of data and incoming requests for support.
- It will be your responsibility to develop and sustain operational relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders, to ensure client expectations are understood, met and managed.
- You will lead the development and take responsibility for the management of effective Corporate Service Level Agreements for the Council’s property functions and make sure consistent standards are maintained and production of accurate, timely and relevant programme information (costs, progress, issues and actions).
- Leading on the delivery of a rolling programme of procurement and management of key contracts, you will ensure the delivery of robust programme management and project management and ensure sufficient coverage for all the projects.

**What we need from you**:

- It is essential that you have professional accreditation: RICS or Prince2 Agile Practitioner, or the equivalent knowledge, skills and proven workplace experience.
- You will have proven people management experience, having managed a multi-disciplinary team focusing on improving delivery and performance and setting clear objectives and performance management but also coach and develop a team and drive future direction.
- It is essential that you have operated at a senior level of leadership, be persuasive and engaging with the ability to lead, co-ordinate and plan a service and ability to build relationships with senior management and stakeholders.
- We require you to have expert knowledge and technical expertise, legislative, regulatory, best practice standards providing a depth of knowledge to act with credibility have experience of leading complex projects or partnerships and solve technical issues.
- It is essential that you have a financial and commercial acumen with significant experience in managing budgets for complex projects.
