**Solar PV Roofer / Installer**

Area of Work: London and the South East

**Job Type**: £100 - £150 a day

Contract Type: Independent Contractor or Freelance

Qualifications:

- Sola PV roofing: 2 years (preferred)
- Driving Licence (preferred)

Job Requirements:

- Minimum of 6 months roofing experience preferred; including metal, concrete tile, clay tile, comp, shingle, or wood shake.
- Ability to work in challenging environments (hot sun, cold, wind, tight spaces, etc.).
- Capable of standing for long stretches of time and working at heights (on rooftops, climb ladders and stairs).
- Ability to safely handle tools and materials commonly found in the construction and solar industries, such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.
- Strong focus on customer service.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including but not limited to peers and customers.
- Regular, reliable and predictable performance required.

Personal Qualities:

- You must be responsible whilst on site with great attention to safety details, have great attention to details, with a keen eye.
- Ability to have flexible hours
- Able to work on own if needed
- Able to install small electrical equipment inside a residential/ commercial property
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
- Must have own tools
- Proven experience as a roofer
- Public liability insurance £1 million

Key Responsibilities:

- Work cooperatively with others on residential re-roofs and installing Solar Roof.
- Pull inventory and ensure all materials are available to complete the job.
- Document completion of finished jobs.
- Maintain a clean job site.
- Communicate job status to management to assure the successful completion of all jobs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to provide the perfect experience throughout the process.
- Attend training sessions and weekly team meetings on new products, installation methodology and safety.
- Work on residential Solar PV Installation jobs when needed:

- Layout and assembly of solar modules / array, mounting hardware, and electrical equipment.
- Electrical wiring of solar array/system (AC and DC)
- Additional duties required as needed.

At Charst Limited, we are diversifying into renewables installer business, but have been operating since 2019.

We are dedicated to providing our client base with domestic and commercial installations that are professionally installed and neat to the eye.

We are specialists in installing Solar PV and Battery storage systems mainly on domestic properties across

London and the South East.

In the future the job does require time on the road, but very few stay away.

As a Roofer you must have experience as a solar roofer or a roofer with keen interest in gaining experience in the solar renewable energy.

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: £200.00-£300.00 per day
