A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Development Manager to join an excellent Food manufacturer in the Newton Abbot area.

With no day ever being the same the Development Manager role offers genuine long-term progression and career development within a first-class manufacturing environment.

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Direct report for the BDM's discussing new/existing development projects
- Ensure NPD is tailored to our factory processes
- Daily Development updates for ongoing/new product development with the senior team
- Working closely with technical to ensure any new raw materials sourced are signed off before use within development. Ensuring the MOQ is viable for the business of new raw materials sourced
- Ensure all products developed take into account any requirements from the customer
- Attend production trials across both sites collating the information required with the operations manager.
- Ensure all information captured from the test batches is documented/shared with the relevant individuals. Actions given to individuals if required.
- Run the weekly development meeting, operations manager to attend support as required
- Training on recipe processing, scaling & nutritionals on current system.
- Scaling recipes for production & adding operation processes and work instructions in liaison with production
- Look at potential cost efficiencies within the department
- Ensuring business won is in line with expectations set from the business.
- Take control of test batches, support as and when required for any product which doesn't fall within our current process flow from Operations Manager

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Great communication skills
- Good level of IT skills
- Good understanding of food manufacture/process trials
- Strong leadership skills
- Managing timelines/critical paths
- Problem Solving

**Package and Benefits**:
