At Cornwall and Isles of Scilly NHS Talking Therapies we have an exciting opportunity to join our East/North team as a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. The position holder will be expected to work part of the week from an office to provide a face to face clinic, their other days will be completed remotely.
As a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (SPWP) you will support the Service Lead and Professional Lead/Team Managers to develop the step 2 service provision across the organisation. These roles provide an opportunity for experienced PWP’s who are committed to developing their careers to share their interest and passion and to develop these qualities and skills in others. In addition to maintaining a PWP (step 2) caseload, the post holders will work within the Talking Therapies service providing a range of more senior duties including:
- Clinical support and guidance around clinical suitability and patient risk across the organisation
- Clinical supervision/case management of both trained & trainee PWPs.
- Clinical skills training.
- Referral assessment, identifying & ensuring appropriate and current level of intensity for patients.
- Day to day leadership of team in the absence of Manager.
- Clinically support/mentor less experienced PWPs.
- Lead on low intensity service developments and deliver in house training workshops.
- Develop, support and train innovative practice to trainee Talking Therapies psychological well-being practitioners and to other workers qualified to act in Low intensity worker roles.
- Integrate care with Physical Health Services to improve physical and mental health outcomes for clients with Long-Term Conditions.
