We are a consultancy firm that offers Health & Safety and HR / Human Resources support on a national basis. We are looking for a HR Advisor to join our small, friendly team located in Essington. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of a GradeI 18th-century Manor House which has been restored into a business centre, set in 25 acres of beautiful woodland.

The HR Advisor will work in a consultancy capacity, advising and supporting our clients with a range of HR / Human Resources matters, amongst other responsibilities as set out below.
- The contract is part-time on a temporary basis, covering a 12-month maternity cover._

**Responsibilities**:

- Conducting new client HR consultation meetings, to understand their current HR practices and needs, and producing best practice action plan
- Conducting existing HR client reviews, and reviewing their action plans
- Producing and reviewing employment contracts templates and employee handbooks
- Undertaking bespoke work for clients such as letter, contract and policy writing
- Producing HR training material
- Keeping abreast of employment legislation and case law, advising clients and producing wording for blog/social media content
- Supporting clients with other specific requirements, such as on-site disciplinary support and HR audits
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required by management

**Essential requirements for the role**:

- Experience gained within a HR advisor role or similar, advising managers and staff on a range of general HR issues
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and best practice
- Car owner, drives with valid UK driving licence - there are limited walking/bus routes to the office, and you will be required to visit client locations in West Midlands
- Strong communication and relationship building capabilities
- Good computer skills - proficient in Microsoft 365
- Keen eye for detail
- Enthusiastic and takes pride and ownership in their work
- Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task

**Desirable attributes for the role**:

- CIPD Level 3 qualified or higher
- Experience within a HR consultancy role
- Previous experience working in the Construction or/and Industrial sectors
- Experience of writing and delivering training
