**Graduate Geologist | Hybrid working
- 40% UK travel, 40% home 20% office | Full Time | £25,000 to £40,000 depending on aptitude and translatable experience**
Our clients are world leaders in Geomembrane leak location locations systems. The company’s technology has been successfully deployed at more than 2200 projects protecting over thirty million square metres of waterproofing and geomembranes worldwide.
You will be arranging site visits, establishing best practice guidelines, ensuring the safety of potable water storage sites (owned by the water utilities companies such as United Utilities and Severn Trent Water etc) and working within sustainable development of land where there is a possibility of site activity causing contamination.
Personality, commercial awareness and communication skills are as important as academic qualifications. Some experience in customer-facing work and foreign languages could also be useful but not essential.
This role will require site work, in addition, national travel will be required on a weekly basis (approx. 2 to 3 times per week - mostly day trips) international travel may be required if particular aptitude is shown and once experienced enough.
When no site work is available you will be expected to help with admin, undertake training courses, etc. Working Hours Monday to Friday - 9am until 5pm in the office or such hours to suit our client’s site works.
Please note that you do not have to live near the office, our client has employees based in Warrington, Chorley, Bolton, Manchester and Bradford.
**Are you the right person for the job?**
- Have the right to work in the UK on a permanent and full time basis
- Have a full UK driving licence
- Computer literate and able to work with images and also Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong commercial awareness
- A confident and determined approach
- Good client facing skills
- Resilience and the ability to cope with all weather
- A high degree of self-motivation and drive
- The ability to work independently and part of a team
- Fluency in a Foreign language may also be helpful but not essential
**What will your role as a Graduate Geologist look like?**
- Preparation of sensor harnesses at headquarters for remote monitoring projects
- Measuring on site with our proprietary LMS Equipment
- Measuring on site with our proprietary MOBILE Equipment
- Testing membranes with our proprietary MIT Equipment
- Preparing reports for completed testing projects
- Travel internationally (if required to complete any part of the above spec)
- Dealing directly with customers/clients providing all relevant information
- Maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers
- Providing feedback within management meetings
- Representing our organisation on site in a professional and presentable manner (all PPE and branded clothing is provided)
- Reviewing your own performance, against company-set targets as you gain experience
- Training to become a Sensor DDS Technician
