We are currently recruiting for a Cafe Supervisor to coordinate the day to day catering operations in our Cafe based at John Hall Welness Garden in Leek, Staffordshire.
John Hall Gardens is a Community Education Garden & Café green space for the community of Leek, local schools, colleges, and social enterprises. With the aim of enabling the local community to work/learn and socialise with people with mental and physical health support needs. This includes adults of all ages and young people.
The Cafe Supervisor will be supervising and supporting volunteers as trainees with the preparation, presentation and service of high quality food and beverages to the general public and visitors to John Hall Wellness Garden, as well as ensuring that the Café is complying with all relevant health and safety legislation and pursuing an outstanding performance rating.
The role will also be supporting and coaching volunteers in developing their catering/hospitality skills to help benefit their future employment prospects whilst always supporting the promotion of the Cafe.
- Practical experience working in the catering environment
- Completed Level 3 Food Hygiene
- First Aid Certificate or willingness to gain First Aid Certificate
- Posses the willingness to undertake training as required
- Experience of undertaking some tasks which need physical effort and fitness appropriate to the duty
The role is 35 hours per week Monday - Saturday.
