**Job Description**:
JOB TITLE: Head of Legal & Company Secretary
PQE REQUIRED: 10+ years
LOCATION: West Midlands (Hybrid)
SALARY: £120K - £140K
THE ROLE: The Head of Legal & Company Secretary will be expected to advise on commercial agreements, business transactions and undertake compliance activities. This will include:

- Providing expert advice and oversight of the key aspects of the business (with focus on infrastructure, government and long-term concessions)
- Will provide advice in relation to ongoing operational matters such as employment contract and procurement matters.
- Major project contracts and overseeing compliance to the contracts and potential disputes.
- Leading contractual disputes.
- Drafting and / or review of contracts
- Providing oversight to ensure compliance to key contracts and regulations, for example Environmental Law and Safety.
- Company secretarial duties

THE CANDIDATE: The successful applicant will have proven post qualifying experience (in excess of c10years PQE), together with in-house experience in a generalist capacity.
- Demonstrated experience in advising & negotiating complex commercial contracts
- Excellent interpersonal skills, optimistic in outlook, articulate and confidence and passion to build effective working relationships and partner with the business
- Ability to demonstrate a pro-active and commercial approach in identifying solutions and mitigating risk in a manner which supports business objectives
- In-house experience desirable with proven strong drafting, communication, and organisational skills
- Efficient and engaged work ethic, resilience, and agility to manage time and prioritise workload according to changing business needs
