Home-Start Staffordshire Moorlands have an exciting opportunity to join our team committed to providing support to families across the Moorlands district, responding to the challenge of the post pandemic period, current recession and beyond. We are recruiting a Group Activity Leader through funding from Reaching Communities to deliver and develop our group provision for families of children primarily aged 0-5 years across the Moorlands district.

This exciting post aims to provide a creative, imaginative and responsive group offer to the current and emerging needs of families in our community over the period of the project and beyond. The range of group activities include inclusive and welcoming stay and play sessions and group provision for parents and children, walk and talk sessions to decrease isolation, alongside specific, targeted groups leading to peer support and new friendships. We are seeking a highly motivated, sensitive individual with experience of delivery of group provision, particularly targeted towards families who may not feel confident in accessing universal group provision. Applicants should have relevant qualifications and previous experience and experience of working alongside volunteers, or as a volunteer, would also be helpful.
