The Endoscopy Programme Clinical Endoscopist Lead will be a key member of the South West Endoscopy Training Academy and Endoscopy Programme team. The Endoscopy Programme Clinical Endoscopist Lead will support the development of the SouthWest Training Academy (SWETA) by providing expert professional advice to develop and lead the education and training strategy to support regional workforce expansion, regional support of the HEE national clinical endoscopist programme and to ensure that regional clinical endoscopists’ training needs are met

The aim of this development is to ensure provision of sustainable training capacity for SW NHS Trusts to provide a pipeline of trained clinical endoscopists to meet the workforce demands of the SW region.

We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced individuals who can support the national expansion of the HEE clinical endoscopist programme and ensure that it is embedded within the South West. You should have a passion for education, a sound understanding of Endoscopy service provision, training and education, with experience of working as part of a multi-professional team and a track record of delivering projects to deadlines.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To act as a local expert resource supporting the development of a regional training programme from Clinical Endoscopists
- To act as the main HEE point of contact for local partners.
- To co-ordinate training programmes within the South West, including organising and managing of large multi
- professional working group meetings.
- To develop regional networks to provide peer support for Clinical Endoscopists and Endoscopy colleagues
- To work closely with multiple stakeholders in identifying key steps to enable embedding training programmes beyond the pilot phase

To lead regionally on the monitoring and audit of posts for quality and consistency.

This post can be based at either Plymouth (Plumer House) or Bristol (Park House) local HEE office, however remote working will be the default position. This will be continually reviewed in line with HEE policy.
