**Role Purpose**:
To ensure the Old Oak Common Project has a comprehensive risk based audit process embedded to verify compliance of both BBVS and Supply Chain parties to legislative, corporate and contract requirements.

HS2’s station construction partner, Balfour Beatty VINCI SYSTRA joint venture (BBVS) are leading the construction of HS2’s new Old Oak Common Station. Set to be the best connected and largest new railway stations ever built in the UK, Old Oak Common willbecome one of the country’s most vital transport super hubs. The station will have 14 platforms, a mix of six high speed and eight conventional service platforms, with an 850m-long station box. It is expected to be one of the busiest railway stations in thecountry with high speed rail services to the midlands, Scotland and the North and access to central London and Heathrow via the Crossrail Elizabeth Line.

As an **Audit Manager**, you will have the following accountabilities:

- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of HSEQ requirements (including statutory and contract);
- Responsible for development and maintenance of a risk-based audit and surveillance schedule for HSEQ ISO compliance and to verify compliance of both BBVS and Supply Chain parties to legislative, JV partner corporate and Contract requirements;
- Lead Audits of the BBVS Functions and the supply chain to meet the annual audit and surveillance schedule;
- Co-ordinate and manage external audits including those from JV partners, client, certification bodies and other interested parties;
- Coordinate Client led quarterly Technical Assurance Reviews (TAR) including coordination of the review, obtaining evidence from technical owners, and following up actions resulting from reviews;
- Act as the main point of contact point for the client and other relevant parties on Audit matters;
- Champion timely closure of relevant OOC TAR, audit & surveillance findings;
- Review output of Audits to identify trends and areas for improvement and to input into annual management review.

The following qualities/experience are essential:

- Experience of Auditing to at least one of HSEQ Standards for a construction company;
- Experience of managing an audit programme for a Construction related company or business;
- Maintains a strong sense of personal ownership relevant to the role, seeks to add value to their function, and maintains a 'make it happen’ approach;
- Ability to build strong relationships with the project team members, suppliers, client representatives, and other stakeholders;
- Ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts (including design / manufacturers’ information), make appropriate judgements, and act accordingly without undue delay;
- Pays attention to detail and sees thing through to completion;
- Can communicate effectively orally and written and influence others including senior management;
- Can demonstrate initiative and resilience;
- Knowledge of the sector and experience within a project-based organization.
