London, United Kingdom University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Full time

The UCLH Oncology Psychology and Haematology Psychology and Psychotherapy Services are based within UCLH adult cancer services across inpatient and outpatient settings. This is an exciting Assistant Psychologist post that works across two existing teams of psychologists and psychotherapists working within UCLH specialist cancer services.

As a substantive post within the cancer psychology services this is a great opportunity to work alongside 12 qualified and experienced psychologists and psychotherapists and to contribute to administrative, audit, research and clinical support within specialist psychology adult cancer services. The postholder will facilitate the ongoing provision of existing specialist clinical services and help in the establishment and implementation of therapeutic interventions. The postholder will provide administrative support, audit and coordination of clinical services, have the opportunity to observe and co-facilitate the provision and evaluation of psychological input and specialist therapeutic groups and to work alongside senior and highly experienced clinical staff.

The services in which this post is based are part of a larger group of psychologists and psychotherapists within the UCLH cancer and clinical health services, with opportunities to connect and work with many experienced clinicians. Day-to-day coordination will be provided by experienced and senior clinical and counselling psychologists and the postholder will be accountable to the Clinical Leads of the Oncology Psychology and Haematology Psychology & Psychotherapy services. Regular clinical supervision sessions will be made available by senior psychologists within the teams.

Psychology provision is an integral part of the world-class multidisciplinary cancer care and services at UCLH and UCLH services are at the forefront of cancer and haematology care in the UK and internationally.
