Head of Music

We are seeking an outstanding Head of Music for either a September 2023, November 2023 (after half term) or January 2024 start.

You will:

- have a desire to develop the musicality of all the children, alongside seeing children achieve excellence
- be part of the outstanding music department within the Dean Close Foundation of schools, benefiting from collaboration of resources and expertise
- be fully involved with duties and contribute to the wider extra-curricular activity programme
- support our small boarding community on a number of weekends throughout the year

You will be:

- A strong enthusiast for choral and orchestral music spanning Kindergarten to Year 8
- A musician of high quality who will be able to inspire pupils by personal example.
- Creative and energetic in seeking opportunities to develop pupils’ musical progress.
- Pastorally sensitive with the ability to motivate and enthuse pupils of all ages
- Someone with good interpersonal and communication skills, professional and efficient organisational skills
- A capable pianist

This role is for 2.5 days per week (Wednesday afternoon to Friday) starting either September 2023, November 2023 (after half term) or January 2024
