School Cook

HRGO are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated School Cook to join our catering team. The School Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious and delicious meals for students.

**Job title**: School Cook

**Pay rate**: £12.14 per hour, paid weekly

**Hours available**: Monday to Friday 9am -2pm

**Job Requirements**:

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, snacks, and beverages for students, staff, and visitors
- Ensure that all meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and meet the dietary requirements of students with allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary needs
- Maintain and clean and organised kitchen
- Adhere to all food hygiene and safety regulations, including proper storage, labelling, and handling of food items
- A valid DBS is essential

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a school or institutional catering setting
- Strong understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
