We have an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for problem solving, and skills in experimental testing and algorithmic development to make an impact on the commercialisation of innovative thermal storage technologies.

Project ADSorB (Advanced Distributed Storage for Grid Benefit) is funded by BEIS through the Longer Duration Energy Storage competition, which forms part of the Net Zero Innovation Portfolio. It is a collaboration led by Sheffield University and working with Loughborough University, University of Nottingham, and Mixergy Ltd. The project builds on thermal energy storage research undertaken as part of the earlier Active Building Centre Research Programme, and is developing, demonstrating, and evaluating a new suite of commercially viable products for the domestic heating market.

You will hold a a Masters degree (or be close to completion) in a relevant topic area (e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Maths) or show equivalent expertise through experience and have experience of contributing to experimental testing and validation of emerging technologies.
