We are looking for an experienced and passionate Cloud Network Engineer to join our growing team to deliver a strategic cloud platform on Azure.
**What will you do?**
- Deliver projects (both as a lead engineer and as a contributor) to ensure our Network infrastructure is fit for purpose, well maintained and is an industry best practice solution that supports the transition to cloud services.
- Be part of a team that delivers and supports various Network technologies such as; Cisco, Juniper, Cloud Networking stacks, LAN, WAN, WLAN, SDN, Routing & Switching.
- Work on projects to migrate to/build new services in the cloud, supporting the delivery of change in Azure to enable project activities.
- Deliver projects in the on-premise network environment to support the transition to cloud.
- Develop and implement new networking services using Infrastructure as Code to empower our developers to deliver at pace.
- Help ensure the availability and security of the company network and cloud network utilising security best-practices and pro-active monitoring.
- Investigate, recommend and implement new technologies that help improve business performance including Azure vWAN, Azure Firewall, NSGs, Load Balancers and Application Gateways and other cutting-edge networking developments.
- Be a networking SME, who will strive to develop network solutions that are automated and use infrastructure as code to automate the delivery of cloud network and infrastructure components.
- Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that delivered systems are both technically sustainable and meet business needs.
- Produce and continually update technical documentation which complies with the Data Protection Act, GDPR and similar policies at all times.
- Use agile working practices with teams across the engineering discipline and with strategic partners to release enterprise class network and cloud services.

**What experience do you need?**
- 5+ years working in an IT environment in an enterprise scale business. With 3+ years working as a dedicated Network specialist, ideally with cloud experience.
- A widespread understanding of enterprise Network solutions including firewalls, switches, load balancers, MPLS and Internet circuits.
- Ability to work on both project and operational support.

**It would be desirable if you had**:

- A Degree in:

- Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
- Relevant Cisco Accreditations:

- CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CCDP, CCIE
- Relevant Juniper Accreditations:

- JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCSP
- Training or certifications in Microsoft Azure, DevOps Tooling or Kubernetes.
- Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall projects.
