Astrum Search is working exclusively with a global FTSE 100 to recruit a Group Internal Controls Analyst.

The role is based in their Central London HQ and requires you to be in the office 2-3 days per week on average. Reporting to the Senior Controls Manager, the role is responsible for providing hands-on support to regional management and head office to enable then to design, implement, and optimise their internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist with managing the Group Internal Control programme for business processes
- Maintain the global control framework and work with the global control network on the implementation and roll out of these across each business unit
- Act as a business partner for Group processes working with process owners, control owners, and other stakeholders
- Evaluate existing Group control design and provide recommendations for improvement, where required
- Work with regional control teams to track, monitor and advise on the remediation of control gaps identified through management testing, self-assessment or internal/external audit
- Assist with key reporting activities, e.g. Audit Committee papers.

Skills & Experience:

- Risk and controls background with experience in a related internal controls/SOX/internal audit function or one of the global consulting firms
- Qualified accountant, internal auditor, or equivalent
- Understanding of finance and non-finance related controls, including IT general controls
- Knowledge of what "good looks like" in respect to control design and effectiveness
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
