**Job purpose**

The Civils Build Supervisor will work closely with the civil manager and the fibre manager. You will supervise and mentor civils gangs. You will be responsible for ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all industry and company SHEQ standards. You will be the main point of contact to uphold the plan and ensure THP targets and work areas are delivered on time and to specification The Civils Build Supervisor will require a significant element of site audit/ inspection on both an in-progress and retrospective basis.

**Duties and responsibilities**
- Manage all civils activities as per the plan of works
- Ensure all civils jobs are delivered on time
- Ensure and uphold quality standards and HAUC specification
- Ensure all targets on site are delivered on time
- Be proactive by highlighting re-route options on fluid and non-fluid working sites
- Manage works in line with Programme
- Maintain productivity objectives as set by the Fibre Manager and the civils manager.
- Run full H&S audits on site, ensuring compliance to NRSWA legislation
- Manage the day-to-day health and safety on site
- Conduct toolbox talks
- Capture and document all changes to design and liaise with design and construction teams
- Co-ordinate, capture and present the financial sign-off for the completed works by the Sub
- contractor to the Build Manager and QS
- Update daily and weekly reports, reviewing them against the project delivery milestones,
- highlighting any risks that may have arisen to the Build Manager
- Ensure all post installation documents are completed and checked in accordance with the conditions of the project, including test results and as-builts

**Qualifications**
- Full clean driving licence
- CSCS card holder
- NRSWA Supervisor accreditation
- PIA accreditations

**Experience**
- Technical understanding of fibre optic networks - O/H and U/G FTTh infrastructure
- Experience with FTTH network deployment using the BT Openreach PIA
- An understanding of the limitations and compatibility of blowing fibre in subduct
- Familiarity with splicing, testing and blowing and associated equipment
- Working knowledge of Straight-Line Diagrams and Fibre Allocation Sheets
- Working knowledge of Test Rod and Rope Schedules
- An understanding of OTDR test results and how to facilitate fault finding and repair
- Experienced with FTTH/FTTP in GPON or XGSPON networks
- HSEQ leadership & auditing
- Traffic management plan implementation
- Working knowledge of council permitting processes
- Proven track record of delivery
- Minimum provable work history in a similar role (3+ years)
- Time served in telecoms build infrastructure projects at gang level or similar (6 + years)
- **Working conditions**:

- Management of internal and external stakeholders will be imperative. Written, and verbal updates must maintain a high standard of professionalism.
- Direct, and conference calling as required
- F2F meetings with clients, suppliers, and 3rd parties
- The successful applicant will work a standard working day pattern _**(8hrs per day 5 days per week)**_, although there will be occasional out of hours requirements. Work will be a split of field
- and desk-based and all equipment required by the role, will be provided.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
