**Toolroom Machinist & Fitter**
Tool Room - North Site

**The Role**:
As a skilled Toolroom Machinist & Fitter, reporting to the Shift Leader, you will manufacture and assemble mechanical
precision parts used in production machinery and processes used to produce the Company’s product range. Working
to detailed drawings and technical specifications, a strong attention to detail is important part of this role.

**Duties and responsibilities:
- Machining of detailed parts using a wide range of machinery including, but not limited to:

- Manual and CNC Lathes
- Manual and CNC Machining centres
- Electro-Discharge Machines
- Manual and CNC Grinding machines
- Hand welding
- Processing detailed parts using hand-work and bench tools.
- Providing regular and consistent support to production and project teams.
- Provide support on introduction of new processes and machinery.
- Provide support in problem solving of product related issues, specifically production tooling and

processing.
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices.

**Qualification & experience requirements:
- Skilled machinist.
- Able to set, program and operate various toolroom machinery including Manual/CNC lathes, Mills, EDM machines

and grinders.
- Able to use manual welding as part of machine repair and build.
- Experience of CAD CAM/offline programming (One CNC)
- Experience working with Fanuc and Siemens controls.
- (Specific training will be provided where necessary to develop existing skills)
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Experience in working in an industrial environment
- Tool making skills to support refurbishment of onsite tooling
- Excellent milling, turning, grinding, and fitting skills required using both manual and NC machines.
- Capable of interpreting engineering schematics and drawings.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Pneumatics and Hydraulics an advantage.
- Adherence to Health and Safety procedures
- Apprenticeship to a minimum of City & Guilds Level 3 or professional equivalent, mechanically/machinist biased.

- The position is primarily on a day shift work pattern but requires the individual to be flexible with hours
- The pay rate will be between £13.96 - £16.99 per hour depending on experience.
