Key tasks and responsibilities : -1. To ensure the effective operation, control and supervision of services allocated.

2. Must have good communication skills & be able to deal with difficult situations

3. Must have a PCV licence & expected to drive when required. This may be for part of a duty or a whole duty.

4. The rota includes a spare day when work will be allocated which may be driving, working at Alperton or any of our other offices.

5. To have a good knowledge of Central London so that you can suggest diversions and implement as necessary.

6. To provide information to the Traffic Office on any problems or issues experienced on Company services.

7. To receive objectives and priorities from the traffic office which are to be followed in the supervision of Company services.

8. To work to the instructions of the Traffic Office on matters delegated to you by the Transport Manager.

9. To assist drivers and inform control of any incidents / accidents that occur & submit a report.

10. Make sure you fully understand driver hours and ensure drivers do not breach them.

11. At live relief points to make sure drivers changeover quickly without delaying the journey or customers unnecessarily.

12. Drivers to be given clear & concise instructions.

13. Check all vehicles are displaying the correct route & destination at the front, side & rear of bus.

14. To carry out periodic checks on drivers paperwork ie time card, vehicle defect card etc. Make sure you record this. Drivers to be advised & reported if any anomalies.

15. To correct and when necessary report members of staff for not wearing company uniform, smoking, not stopping at stops correctly, running early, not completing journeys, running off line of route without authorisation including light running.

16. Ensure you are aware of all company policies, rules & procedures and staff hand book & rule book.

17. Take any customer complaints or commendations. Try to close complaints down - Apologise as required. All complaints / commendations to be put in writing to the Traffic Manager.

18. Advise the Traffic Manager of any ideas you have re scheduling, unrealistic schedules, any new developments, regular traffic congestion, phasing of traffic lights etc.

19. Look out for street hazards including low branches of trees especially after rain,

20. Speak to drivers of any issues mentioned above.

21. Check bus stops - Are they clean & tidy, Is our publicity correct, is it missing, do the stops have Golden Tours Hop on & Hop off displayed on both sides of the stop flag.

22. Check drivers are checking tickets as customers get on and making sure all customer tickets are scanned as they get on.

23. Check buses have everything the customer requires.

24. Update group chat and reply straight away. Communications is very important.

25. Update General Manager and the team so that they can communicate to customers.

**Salary**: £14.00 per hour
