On Call Support Worker

Hourly rate/Salary: £50 per shift and £200 per weekend

Working Hours: 1-2 evenings per week plus alternate weekends

The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an On Call Support Worker to join our small and friendly team based in and around Formby.

You will be taking telephone calls from care staff, clients/their family members and possibly from health care professionals e.g Nurses, Doctors and paramedics should they need to contact White House Care once the office has closed. You will be required to deal with any queries, staff sickness and respond swiftly to any emergencies that may occur throughout the evening or weekend that you are on call.

This role will include if/when necessary acting as a bank carer in the event of staff sickness of which you cannot find alternative cover.

This position is for one or two weekends a week and alternate weekends. If you have to undertake care visits you will be paid in addition for all visits made at the hourly rate and your mileage is also paid.

You will be paid £50 per evening and £200 per weekend for on call duties. You will need to have a full driving license and the use of a car for this role due to the travelling that may be involved.

You will be required to - Answer all telephone calls in a helpful/professional manner, respond to staff absences by arranging appropriate cover as and when necessary, ensuring that all visits are staffed, respond to any issues/emergency situations promptly and efficiently, provide care if necessary if you cant source alternative cover. Contact/ keep the manager up to date if a situation arises that is of a serious nature e.g. death of a service user/ accident/ incident or any incidents involving a care worker.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £100.00 per day

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
