**We are looking for a Support Worker to join our Service based in Cowley, Middlesex on a permanent, full time basis (37.5 hours per week). No previous experience is required.** **Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays.** **_You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £61.20 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual._**

There are a range of shifts that you would be expected to work, including early shifts which are 8.00 am to 3.30 pm and late shifts which are 12.30 pm to 8.00 pm. The sleep-in shift will start at 2.30 pm to 10.30 pm and then 7.00 am to 2.00 pm the following day.
**About the Service**
We are six people who would love to welcome you into our home to support us to live our lives the way we want to.
We live in one large house with a garden in an area with good public transport links close to Uxbridge where there are lots of shops, pubs, cinemas and the local theatre is very near which we like to go to see the shows especially the Elvis and Abba tributes acts.
We all have a learning disability and have different support needs and requirements. Three of us need help to mobilise and use wheelchairs and one of us needs support with a hoist.
We all need help with personal care and keeping our home clean and tidy.

- **What does a Support Worker do?**

As a Support Worker you will be expected to provide an outstanding level of support that will help to ensure the people we support live a more comfortable, dignified, liberated and happy life. You will have excellent communication skills and be a naturally caring and patient personality. Typical responsibilities may include:
- **Supporting people to live independently** - budget management, paying bills, housework, organising appointments and cooking delicious healthy meals.
- **Relationship building **- supporting the people we support to understand the world around them and promoting positive relationships.
- **Community & Social Inclusion** - supporting individuals to access and participate in their local community and social events to promote life skills and individuality.
- **Personal care** - helping people to get ready for the day. This may include prompting the people we support to take their medication and assisting with bathing, showering and using the bathroom. Not all Support Worker roles include high levels of personal care.
