Stock Controller

Overview:
**This role is working 40 hours per week.**

The main purpose of the role is to manage the raw materials and packaging stock accuracy to ensure they are available to meet the production requirements. Ensuring stock rotation and minimising material loss due to shelf life.

This role shall ensure their areas comply with health and safety legislation and food safety standards delivering BRC compliance and HSG 45001, reporting issues accordingly.

Liaising with a variety of staff whist influencing at all levels and negotiating to achieve the required business outcomes.

£12.44 per hour + shift allowance (plus 48p per hour Cost of Living Allowance for 2023) + Bonus

**Responsibilities**:
Enable Mill and Pie Site production to meet the plan and deliver customer service requirements of 99.7% or above on a daily, weekly, monthly basis.
- SAP reports to be run and collated to facilitate required actions to deliver stock accuracy as well as quality control of shelf life of materials ensuring write off of materials is mínimal.
- Rectify any SAP stock errors found, which in turn will ensure delivery of production material requirements are met in full - both packaging and raw materials, across both of the Trowbridge sites.
- Disposal of written off materials to be arranged and logged to ensure traceability and stock accuracy.
- Arrange stock checks as required to deliver controlled expenditure.
- Manage returns to suppliers ensuring the SAP records are updated accordingly both for raw materials as well as pallets and 3rd party containers.

Manufacturing
- Deliver excellent communication to other departments - maximise the efficiency of your department and other departments upstream and downstream
- Control/minimise wastage
- Ensure good environmental controls (e.g. waste segregation/minimisation, efficient use of equipment/energy)
- Support project work across the sites as necessary.
- Investigate opportunities for continuous improvement and implement where appropriate.

Qualifications:
**Essential**:

- Stock control background
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Good PC skills
- Educated to GCSE level as a minimum
- Is able to demonstrate commitment and stability.
- Flexible, good attendance and timekeeping
- Multi-skilled or willing to learn new skills.
- Eye for detail, quality and accuracy
- Good team player
- A flexible, motivated and committed individual with a “can do” approach.
- Calm under pressure, with the ability to work within tight deadlines
