Job Introduction
Colas in Ringmer have a great opportunity for a Welder/Fabricator to join the Mechanical Services department to carry out planned emergency (breakdown) welding/repairs on various vehicles and equipment, plant, and high-quality fabrication of structures/forms ensuring fleet and clients vehicles are maintained and repaired to an acceptable standard.

Main Responsibilities
The main responsibilities will be to ensure all repairs / work is carried out safely, a risk assessment for the work is in place, carry out Fabrication to specification, ensure that all welding and repair work is carried out with cost and time consideration, all operations carried out within your area of responsibility are undertaken with full regard for the safety of the public, other members of staff and yourself, all paperwork is completed in a timely manner, undertake all repair work as required by your foreman / supervisor, that all changes made to vehicles and equipment are noted to the foreman and develop the skills and competencies of apprentices and trainees within the team.

Ensure the Colas Ltd fleet is kept in a well maintained and presentable condition and carry out other appropriate duties as assigned by the line manager.
