Cattery Assistant

Are you a devoted cat lover with a knack for nurturing our feline friends? Barn Owls Cattery in Manston is on the lookout for a new team member to join us during the upcoming seasonal period from April to November.

**Position**: Seasonal Cattery Assistant
**Location**: Barn Owls Cattery, Manston
**Hours**: Monday to Friday, initially 2 hours daily (7:30 am - 9:30 am), with hours likely to increase during busier periods, potentially starting as early as 6:00 am as the season ramps up.

**Responsibilities**:

- Early morning feeding and cleaning of cat pens
- Cleaning cattery equipment
- Engaging with customers
- Handling cats with care and confidence
- Independently managing the Cattery whilst management take occasional leave. Duties include, front of house reception duties, including taking phone calls using our booking software. Full training provided for this (a very basic level of pc skills required)

**Requirements**:

- Must be Physically fit for bending, stretching, and constant movement
- Affection for cats and confident in handling them
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, must be friendly and confident in dealing with customers
- Basic computer proficiency (training provided)
- Availability for additional hours as and when required
- Must be able to drive or have access to transport due to our location

**Job Types**: Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 7 months

**Salary**: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 15 per week
