Head of Ecommerce

We’re looking for a new Head of eCommerce to take the lead across Hallmark’s direct to consumer digital channels. You’ll lead a matrix team of commercial, product and marketing professionals, as well as collaborating across the business to deliver optimal ways of working, resulting in a best in class digital experience and profitable commercial results. Our eComm business expert you’ll also partner with commercial leads influence the eComm proposition Hallmark offers our retail customers and their shoppers.

With full P&L responsibility your main responsibilities will include:

- Full channel ownership, including new trading opportunities, contract development, growth plans, cost efficiencies and developing a market leading customer proposition
- Define, drive and continuously improve the vision, strategy and ways of working, including all onboarding, transformation and change projects
- Drive your eComm agenda, channel performance, deliver the trade plan and CDP in line with agreed SLA’s KPI’s, maximising resources to build efficiencies whilst reducing costs
- Together with key stakeholders you’ll bring to life your eComm vision and strategy, ensuring your team has the information to make right first time decisions, maximising every commercial opportunity.
- Ensure your squad has a full understanding of all requirements for operational execution, supported with effective working processes and a thorough understanding of insight driven decision making and commercial viability.
- Performance understanding of Hallmark eComm channels, data self-service advocate and Exec/Stakeholder reporting
- eComm, commercial and consumer expert, sharing relevant information and upskilling key stakeholders on relevant intelligence related to your customer, category or industry
- Work collaboratively to develop propositions that showcase the Hallmark brand in the digital world build on Hallmark’s brand heritage, inspiring end consumer engagement and business growth across all digital channels.

A resourceful disruptor at ease with navigating the realities of our industry you’re well versed with taking people on your journey, delivering on your objectives to unlock the next phase of your strategy. To be successful, we’re looking for you to demonstrate:

- Solid understanding and experience of direct to consumer eComm and digital retail market places/platforms, ideally for a FMCG, creatively driven business
- Experience of working cross functionally to create a coherent ways of working that deliver best in class user and consumer experiences
- Experience of the leading the full contract life cycle across multiple accounts
- A strong track record of successfully growing online sales performance, within budget and a long term strategy, ideally through a matrix team
- An exceptional leader of people, great at developing & sustaining key internal & external relationships, performance management and people development
- A natural influencer, your technical expertise naturally builds trust and confidence with others, which is the foundation for maximizing commercial opportunities and minimising risks/inefficiencies
- Knowledge of retail trading or merchandising, would be a significant advantage
- You are a strategic thinker with a challenging mindset, experience in strategy creation, development and delivery
- Working knowledge of web analytics tools such as Adobe or Google Analytics
- High levels of commercial acumen, negotiating and influencing skills
- You are comfortable at dealing with ambiguity whilst ensuring your team has the right information, at the right time to make right first time decisions
- Champion of data driven decisions making, good at drawing external insight to drive long term category plans as well as identifying opportunities for growth
- Experience of developing relationships with industry/trade bodies, would be a significant advantage
