The Huddersfield Smart House Research Facility is a multi-disciplinary research centre bringing together researchers, practitioners, industry, and government organisations to design, develop and implement holistic solutions for current and future societal challenges associated with the building environment. A well instrumented two storey dwelling has been constructed that will provide facilities for a range of novel and innovative investigations to be carried out.

A highly motivated and creative individual is required for the post of Research Fellow - Smart House. You will work, as part of a multi-disciplinary team, in the research project entitled ‘Leading the way in Smart home research and innovation’. This is an exciting multidisciplinary project which will address multi-dimensional societal challenges related to homes. The project is core funded by the University of Huddersfield over a 3-year period in the first instance. Our work is expected to contribute to exploring the role of technology in tackling fuel poverty, health in the home, and user-centred design of smart technologies. We are working with a range of external partners on this project and will work across a number of university research centres, institutes and initiatives.

You will be involved in delivering research across a number of work packages as follows:

- The interface of Technology Enhanced Healthcare and SMART Housing.
- Edge Integration, Interpretation, and Intelligence (EI3) Framework for IoT-driven Smart Environments.
