Mechanical Fitter

**Role**: Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
**Hours**: Monday to Friday, Weekly Rotation of Days & Nights, 7 to 5
**Salary**: £43,000 to £44,000 per annum, plus overtime (paid at x1.5 & x2.0) & benefits
**Location**: Commutable from Scunthorpe, Doncaster, Rotherham Sheffield Grimsby, Leeds and surrounding suburbs.

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work within a leading manufacturing company at one of their leading automated factories. It would suit someone who is qualified Mechanical Maintenance Engineer and enjoys getting their hands dirty, ideally from a manufacturing or similar environment, with ANY of the following experience; belts, bearings, chains, pumps, shafts, motors, gears, hydraulics,pneumatics, welding, fabricating etc.
**Responsibilities**
Mechanical Fitting and Maintenance of all the plant equipment and machinery in the factory, split between reactive machinery problems and breakdowns and proactive maintenance (PPM’s) and supporting projects.
Provided with a work mobile that provides all the information around required planned preventative maintenance and project work to complete.
Working within a team of 3 Mechanical Maintenance Engineers.
Fault finding and repairs to machinery.
Ensure you comply with strict health and safety requirements.
Helping towards improvements throughout the plant, making things better and minimise future problems.
Working in a heavy plant environment where you can expect to get your hands dirty.

**Requirements**:

- Completed a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship or holding mechanical engineering qualifications.
- Experience of mechanical maintenance work within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- We are looking for someone with some of the following mechanical experience; hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, belts, bearings, chains, welding, fabricating, fault finding and repairs.
- Friendly and adaptable working attitude, with the hunger to learn and develop their skills.
- Enjoy getting your hands dirty within a heavy plant environment.
