**Role**: Drivers Mate

**Location**: Wednesbury

**Shift time**:06:00 - 15:00/16:00 Monday - Friday (48 Hours per week)

**Pay Rate**:£10.50 Per Hour

Mainstay Recruitment are currently seeking Drivers Mates on behalf of our Wednesbury based client. As a Drivers Mate, you will be responsible for Collecting Batteries and Battery deposit bins nationwide.

**Duties of the role**:

- Assisting the driver with the loading and unloading of goods onto and off the delivery vehicle.
- securing goods properly within the vehicle to prevent damage during transportation.
- Providing navigation assistance to the driver, using maps or GPS devices to ensure timely and efficient delivery routes are followed.
- Communicating effectively with the driver and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues that may arise during the delivery process.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with the delivery of goods to customers' locations and ensuring that deliveries are made according to schedule.
- handling paperwork such as delivery notes, invoices, and customer signatures accurately and efficiently.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization within the delivery vehicle, ensuring that it is stocked with necessary supplies and equipment for each trip.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies while performing job duties, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment and following proper lifting techniques.
- Assisting with other tasks as needed, including inventory management, warehouse duties, and general maintenance of delivery vehicles and equipment
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Previous experience in a similar role, such as warehouse work or delivery assistance, may be preferred but is not always required
- Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certifications related to the job, such as manual handling or health and safety training

**Hours of work**:

- 06:00 - 15:00/16:00 Monday - Friday (48 Hours per week)
- £10.50.50 Per Hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.50 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week

Schedule:
