**The role**:
Chaigeley Educational Foundation seeks to appoint an inspiring deputy principal to work in partnership with our principal and senior leadership team, leading the school into its next phase of development with energy, drive, and passion for its mission. Chaigeley Educational Foundation is a Non-Maintained Special School for children aged 8-16 with social, emotional and mental health and other complex needs in the village of Thelwall on the outskirts of Warrington. The school has a proud history having been here for over 70 years. We accept children from all North West local authorities and we have a strong relationship with our local community. Leading this school is a special opportunity.

The deputy principal will play a crucial role in achieving this as a key part the senior leadership team.

The deputy principal will ensure high standards by being a prominent, visible presence around the school. They will forge strong relationships with pupils, parents, staff, and external contacts such as local authorities, the wider community and outside organisations and bodies. They will always act with the safety and welfare of students uppermost and by personifying the values of the school will help develop them in others.

The deputy principal will display a hands-on, day-to-day operational management of the school. As a member of the SLT, the deputy principal plays an active part in the development of whole school strategy and will take responsibility for delegated aspects of it at the discretion of the principal, supporting their leadership and vision for the school, and assisting in the implementation of school policies.
