Materials Planning Scheduler (Maternity Cover) FTC 12 months
We are currently seeking an experienced procurement professional to come and join our team to support maternity leave.
**Key responsibilities**
- Updating stock counts
- Bill of Material review and management
- Liaise with accounts to resolve invoice queries
- Booking in all deliveries promptly
- Produce and update SOPs for any new processes
- Manipulate extrusions order book in excel to establish what compounds and papers need ordering
- Communicate deliveries and collections with warehouse team for the following week.
- Expedite orders through to ensure OTIF target measures are met
- Source alternative suppliers when unable to get stock from our usual supplier
- Maintain purchase orders i.e. up to date with new/changed delivery dates
- Maintain stock levels against the businesses agreed min and max levels
- Clearly communicate any stock issues with the business
- Analyse stock variances (found during weekly count inputting)
- Ensure system is up to date with any price increases
- Hold and lead regular meetings with the extrusions team
- Action unplanned order requests for direct and indirect material
- Proactively liaise with suppliers for delivery dates on orders placed
- Ensure all credits are received for returned faulty goods.
- Maintain clear communication with the rest of the business
- Responsible for compliance with company procedures
**About You**
Ideally you will have experience of operating in a Materials Planning role. You will be a good team player that can work independently when required. Conscientious and driven, you will seek opportunities to make improvements
**Skills**
- Strong persuasive communication, influencing and negotiation skills
- Autonomous working, used to adhering to tight deadlines and able to prioritise workload under pressure through risk management
- Highly methodical with an ability to control and manage detailed tasks on a regular basis
- Excellent Microsoft office skills with advanced experience in Excel and MRP stock systems
**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
**Salary**: Up to £11.25 per hour
