We're looking for a full-time receptionist to join our independently owned dental practice. The practice has been established for over four decades, with four surgeries, a modern working environment, is fully computerised with a great support team, recently undergoing a significant amount of investment, under new management.

**The role**

The successful dental receptionist will help ensure that a practice operates efficiently while providing a professional, friendly point of communication for patients and associates. The receptionist plays an integral role in delivering the exceptional patient experience which helps to establish long term, trusted relationships with our patients.

**Key competencies**:

- Excellent phone and in-person communication skills
- Organisation, time management, and multitasking abilities
- An understanding of dental office procedures and workflow
- Experience using Dentally advantageous

**Key tasks**:

- Patient experience
- Scheduling appointments
- Maintenance of patient accounts and records
- Prepare patient invoices and taking payments
- Assist patients with medical forms
- Confirm and amend appointments with patients
- Manage and organise specialist referrals
- Inform patients of payment options if applicable
- Keep track of office supplies and place orders for more supplies when necessary
- Ensure all dental office equipment is functioning properly
- Sort and organise incoming and outgoing mail
- Maintain petty cash available in the dental office
- Ensure reception area is maintained and professional in appearance

**Salary**: £11.00-£13.00 per hour
