We are looking for a strong administrator to carry out the role of Trainee Planner in our Works Planning Team.

The Planner develops and implements their programme of works in support of the yearly CMO managed work stack. Achieved through all aspects of project planning and management including, but not limited to: detailed project planning; regular project monitoring and updates; project reporting; timely notification management; proactive stakeholder engagement and regular interface meetings with key CMO and LDP (subcontractor) teams

**Key accountabilities in the role**:

- Projects delivered on time and within budget
- Active management of project risks, issues
- Assess issues found during planning
- Provide updates and accurate project information
- Host progress meetings with Local Delivery Partners on their programme
- Timely submission of traffic management to local authorities
- Managing all aspect of permits and notices, including raising, starts, closures, extension, modifications.
- Liaising with operations staff to ensure timely management of permits and notices.
- Ensure all proposed programme changes are captured and reviewed withing the programme change control meetings.

**Key responsibilities**
- Lead programme planning for area/ zone ensuring projects delivery is on time and within budget
- Contribute to planning and design strategy for each project
- Facilitate Project Change control
- Proactively identify and highlight any progress issues which threaten successful delivery of the project, so that recovery action may be taken
- Identify constraints and risks within projects to produce an effective and accurate plan
- Plans and prioritises own work
- Will refer any issues that threaten project delivery to Planning Manager

**Knowledge & Experience** (Desirable but not required)
- Worked in a planning management environments
- Ability to liaise and manage, internal and external suppliers and other stakeholders
