FullFibre is looking for a driven and analytical Trainee Fibre Splicer to join the Ledbury team. As a Trainee Fibre Splicer, you will work alongside Lead Fibre Engineers whilst encompassing hands-on learning and training across a 12-month integrated training plan.

You will gain the understanding and experience required enabling you to splice, test, troubleshoot and perform maintenance on existing and new build networks to specific customer specifications and, expand telecommunications networks into new areas or replace existing lines.

Upon completing the 12-month training, you will be put through the City and Guilds 3667 to become a fully qualified and accredited Fibre Splicer for FullFibre.

Full training, courses and tickets are provided on behalf of FullFibre. Taking this step will provide you with valuable first-hand experience to drive your career forwards within a supportive company.
- A full UK driving licence is essential for this role._

**Key Duties and responsibilities...**:

- This is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of FullFibre._
- Visit customer premises and field-based network facilities
- Complete personal risk assessments
- Gain the knowledge and understanding necessary to support the Lead Fibre Engineer in all Field Services Engineering/Maintenance projects
- Gain the knowledge and understanding required to ensure splicing, testing and reporting on the optical network is carried out to the required standard
- Gain the knowledge and understanding to prepare and splice distribution cables for underground and overhead deployment
- Gain the knowledge and understanding required to ensure implementation and compliance with health, safety, environment and quality standards
- Gain the ability to work alongside the Lead Fibre Engineer and Engineers to ensure that all Field Services programmes are achieved on time
- Gain the understanding and knowledge to splice cabinets by identifying the correct fibre tubes and splicing onto pig tails to 48 optical ports.
- Gain the Knowledge and understanding to use an OTDR to test all fibres end to end
- Obtain and pass relevant courses and qualifications

- Motivated and keen to learn and gain knowledge and experience in fibre splicing
- Desire to build a career and self-motivated to work independently once the ability has been proven.

- High standards of Verbal and written communication (Grade C in Maths and English)
