Construction Planner

The contracts are primarily for the McGoff Group’s asset backed operating businesses in the care and education sectors; New Care and Back to the Garden Childcare, as well as supporting revered clients with their nationwide rollout programmes in the health care and food retail arenas. We are looking to recruit an experienced Planner who will be based at our Head Office in Altrincham.

**Responsibilities**
- Regular monthly visits to site to conduct independent reviews of progress against Contract and Target programmes (identification of critical delays)
- Ability to identify programme issues, and produce commentary, analysis, and corrective (mitigating) measures
- Identification and correct implementation of programme risk and opportunity
- Gathering of information from site team, subcontractors, design team etc for progress reporting / programme development
- Creation from first principles of Target Programmes / Short Term Programmes (as necessary)
- Liaison with site team to ensure all works are accurately reflected in the programme scope
- Identification of major quantities, constraints, logistics, design, procurement times, and other factors affecting programme
- Production and update of phasing plans, Marketing Suite access plans etc
- Recording of additional programme related information such as As Built data, output rates, delay / disruption events etc
- Ensure compliance with Planning Procedures

**Requirements**:

- Ideally 5+ years as a planner
- Site experience essential (ie not solely tender planning experience)
- Care Home / Residential experience preferred
- Good working knowledge of planning & project control methodologies
- PC literate in PowerProject / Microsoft Suite (Word / Excel / PowerPoint etc)
- Team player, while also retaining ability to act independently
- Clear & concise communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of JCT Contracts
- Driving licence (mobility to travel to sites as required)
- Relevant CSCS card
